A huge trunk of a camphor tree is exhibited in front of the main building of the museum. The tree is estimated to have grown between the 4th century and the end of the 8th century. It was found at a riverbed of Kinokawa River after heavy rain caused by a typhoon in 2011. Age of the tree is judged to be 350 years old. The height is 5.6 meter. The diameter is 4 meter. The weight is 20 ton.
